A derby in the Spanish second tier was plunged into chaos on Sunday after Real Zaragoza goalkeeper Esteban Andrada laid out his opponent after already being sent off.
The Argentine received a second yellow card for pushing over a Huesca player in stoppage time of their relegation six-pointer, but then sprinted towards Huesca captain Jorge Pulido and punched him in the face in a moment of madness.
That sparked an all-out brawl which led to Huesca keeper Dani Jimenez and Zaragoza's Dani Tasende also being dismissed, with Jimenez racing from his box to deliver a superman punch to opposite number Andrada.
Andrada now faces severe punishment with his club ready to “take the appropriate disciplinary measures” after strongly condemning his actions.
"We witnessed scenes unbecoming of this sport and which should never have occurred," Zaragoza’s statement read.
"These events do not represent the values of Real Zaragoza or its fans, who throughout its history have been characterized by sportsmanship, courage, and respect for the opponent.
"We are role models and examples for many fans, especially children, who cheer us on at every match and aspire to one day become one of their idols.
"That is why these regrettable images should never have been seen."
Andrada, 35, took responsibility for the outburst after the match, saying he “lost focus” in the heat of the moment, and apologised to both his club and Pulido.
"The truth is I'm very, very sorry for what happened," he said.

"It's not a good image for the club, for the fans, and especially not for a professional like myself. So, I'm very sorry.
"Throughout my career, I've only had one red card, and that was for a handball outside the penalty area.
"I also want to apologise to Jorge Pulido because we are colleagues, and honestly, it was my fault, I lost focus at that moment, and well, I am here for whatever consequences the league may give me."

Huesca manager Jose Luis branded the incident as “unjustifiable” and “a complete loss of control”, while Zaragoza boss David Navarro said “there are lines we can't cross” in his own apology.
Andrada, who is a former Argentina international, is on loan at Zaragoza from Monterrey and may never play for the Spanish outfit again, with a return to Mexico due at the end of the season.
Zaragoza, meanwhile, are at serious risk of relegation after rivals Huesca - also contenders for the drop - beat them 1-0 in Sunday’s Aragonese derby, leapfrogging them in the table.
They both remain in the relegation zone, with Huesca two points from safety in 19th and 21st-place Zaragoza three points adrift with five games to play.
