Celtic FC Women lost 2-1 to Hearts, with manager Grant Scott expressing disappointment in the team's performance despite some positives.
Grant Scott: We didn't show enough of our qualities against Hearts
Celtic FC Women lost out narrowly to Hearts at the weekend, going down 2-1 against the league leaders.
It was a game which had some positives and negatives for manager, Grant Scott, though, ultimately, he was disappointed to have lost the game.
Speaking to Celtic TV after the game, he said: āOverall, Iām not massively displeased apart from the result, but I donāt think itās been our best performance.
āI was a wee bit disappointed with the urgency we showed. At times, in flashes, we saw the attacking team I want us to be, but I donāt think our quality shone through and we didnāt create enough chances to put them under enough stress.
āItās always disappointing in a defeat but weāll take what we can from it, take our learnings and try to keep moving on.
āThere wasnāt a lot in the match. In individual battles all over the pitch, some won, some lost, but ultimately, our quality with the ball didnāt really show through.
"It was there at times, but we didnāt really threaten their goal enough.ā
Next up for Celtic is a Glasgow derby on Sunday (May 17) when they take on Rangers at Broadwood Stadium (KO: 4pm).
The game is a dress rehearsal for the Scottish Cup final between the sides at the end of the month, and the Celtic manager is looking for a positive performance and, of course, a positive result.
āItās the oldest thing in football but you need to dust yourself down from these tough moments,ā he said.
āItās a good game to bounce back in, a good game to play in.
"Theyāre always tough battles but, again, Iāll ask the players for performance and quality over anything else next week and weāll go into the game and try to win it.ā
