I think I can potentially at least see where he is coming from with this opinion, but for me, to win matches you need to have your best players on the pitch. You of course also do need that squad balance of creators and hard workers as well, but Palmer and Fernandez for me are just two players who need to be starting, however you get them in there.

In words quoted on X, Poyet told talkSPORT this week:
“My biggest mistake in football as a coach was at Real Betis. I have very good individual players, and I tried to play them all together, and it didn’t work, and then I got sacked. So I blame myself for not being able to leave one big name out and perform.
“After seeing [Cole] Palmer last year, he was the most influential player in the Premier League, to have to play him on the right because you have two 100 million players in midfield is strange. I mean, you first accommodate your best player, and then you see which system you can play.”
Moises Caicedo is currently struggling for form, but Aston Villa star Matty Cash has claimed he does something better than most other players.
Marc Guiu is keen to leave Chelsea this summer, and his preference would be a loan move back to Spain according to reports. I personally believe Chelsea should just sell him permanently now and make some quick cash on him.
