PINE GROVE — The Cardinals welcomed 22 schools from across the Lehigh Valley for the 2026 Pine Grove Area Track and Field Invitational on Friday afternoon.
The Schuylkill League brought in 15 gold medal finishes and Minersville’s girls won gold as a team with 91 points.
“A lot of our Schuylkill League teams were here today which helps us see where everyone is at in the league currently,” Pine Grove coach Lynne Delinko said. “This is really good for Pine Grove, we’re a small school so to be able to host this many teams is incredible for us actually.”

“I’m really proud of our team and we already placed second as a team at a meet so we’re looking to do that again,” Hoffman-Long said. “All four years I’ve just been getting better and I’m really excited because I’m ready to leave it all out there for my last year.”
Pine Grove also had a good showing for the home meet as Bella Kassab placed second in the 200-meter run and third in the 100-meter run. Tanner Kolb was second in the 200-meter run and Dane Hannevig placed second in the long jump at 20 feet, eight inches.

Durham showed out for the Crimson Tide with a first place finish in the boys 110-meter hurdles with a personal-record time of 14.69 seconds. The Crimson Tide were also represented by Colin McGinley who placed first in the boys 800-meter run in 2:03.67.
