MIAMI GARDENS ― The Miami Dolphins drafted offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor of Alabama with the 12th pick and cornerback Chris Johnson of San Diego State with the 27th pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
But this team has a slew of needs as general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan works on one of the most inexperienced and thinnest rosters in the NFL.
On Day 2 of the NFL Draft, which starts at 7 p.m., the Dolphins are slated to have one pick in Round 2 (43rd overall) and three picks in Round 3 (75th, 87th and 94th).

Why? McCoy missed last season with a torn ACL and reportedly there is concern about a degenerative knee issue. But when on the field, McCoy is a speedy playmaker.

Why? Terrell is only 5-foot-11 but he's quick and feisty and energetic and aggressive.

Why? Lee Hunter is a dominant run defender who will do the dirty work. Hunter also has high unpolished upside as a pass rusher.

Why? Jacob Rodriguez has instincts and speed and play-making ability. This is not Zach Thomas, but he plays with the fury of the former Dolphins and NFL legend.

Why? Christen Miller is a quick ball-chaser with a high ceiling. Miller is an oustanding athlete who could really shine with strong coaching.

Why? Chase Bisontis is an immediate starter at guard. He's tough and balanced and strong. Bisontis is quick and a good fit for the zone scheme.
