The only thing better than the storylines was the game itself.
Hendricken hosted Pilgrim in Division I boys lacrosse in a game that mattered as much in the standings as it did for city bragging rights. The Hawks missed a shot with 1:35 left to play, hustled to the backline first, and Andrews made sure they didnât miss again, scoring to tie things up with 1:24 left in the quarter.
Overtime was decided in the faceoff circle, as Brady Archambault came up with the win for Hendricken. The Hawks called a timeout and set up their offense. They showed extreme patience, waiting for the right looks and matchups. Sousa got the ball in a matchup he liked, made a charge at the net and slipped it into the right side for the game-winner before being mobbed by teammates.
