How Atlanta Braves' Ha-Seong Kim Played in Injury Rehab Game
The Atlanta Braves are not only playing well, but they are beginning to get injured players back from the IL. Pitchers Spencer Strider and Raisel Iglesias are among the players who have recently returned, and shortest Ha-Seong Kim could join the Braves soon. The infielder participated in a rehab game on Tuesday as he continues to recover from a finger injury.
According to Grant McAuley, Kim went 2-4 with a run scored while playing seven innings at shortstop. It seems as if Kim could return sooner rather than later assuming no setbacks occur.
The 30-year-old infielder re-signed with Atlanta during the offseason. The plan was for Kim to play shortstop for the Braves, but he later suffered the finger injury during the offseason.
In 2025, Kim hit .234/.304/.345 across 48 games played between his time with the Tampa Bay Rays and the Braves. Atlanta was impressed as evidenced by the team's decision to re-sign him.
Mauricio Dubon has helped to handle shortstop duties amid Kim's injury absence. He has played well, but the Braves are still looking forward to Kim's return. Dubon will be able to return to his versatile utility role on a more consistent basis once Kim returns to the ball club. Overall, Dubon entered Tuesday's game against the Seattle Mariners hitting .258/.319/.403 in his 34 total games played.
The Braves will continue to monitor and provide injury updates on Ha-Seong Kim's injury status as they are made available.

Spencer Strider made his return from injury on Sunday against the Colorado Rockies. The right-handed hurler turned in 3.1 innings of work while allowing three earned runs. He was able to record six strikeouts, but Strider also walked five hitters.
He will make a significant impact in the starting rotation moving forward.
Catcher Sean Murphy recently made his season debut. He did not record a hit in three at-bats, but Murphy's presence provides the Braves with another reliable catcher on the roster. Catching depth is certainly never a bad thing at the MLB level.
Additionally, the Braves activated closer Raisel Iglesias off the injured list on Tuesday. Iglesias' return from injury will significantly impact the bullpen.
With Ha-Seong Kim potentially returning soon, the Braves are only getting stronger. Atlanta currently holds the best record in the National League, and it has become clear that the ball club is a true contender this year.
