The Philadelphia Eagles did what they do best during the NFL Draft, with Howie Roseman making a lot of the right decisions. It was another interesting draft for an organization that needed to hit it out of the park, and instead of Roseman taking any chances, he made all the smart picks and seems very content with all of his decisions.
While there still could be more coming in the future, Roseman admitted that he's very comfortable with where his team currently stands, though, since they haven't practiced yet, he can't yet say that no other moves will follow.
"I'm very comfortable with where we are as a football team right now and understanding that there is more work to be done," Roseman said, per the team… “We haven't had one practice on the field yet, so it remains to be seen how it all comes together."
The biggest move that the Eagles made was trading up for Makai Lemon, who many viewed as one of the top wide receiver prospects in this class.
Some even viewed Lemon as the top prospect in this class, and Roseman later added that he felt very good about the decision to trade up for him and doesn't have any regrets about moving other assets to do so.
"I feel really good about the decision we made to trade up for Makai. I feel really good about the decision we made to bring in JG, Jon here to Philly," Roseman said. "Obviously, it's got to play out. There is no guarantee about anything. But, definitely no regrets.
"I feel like the impact that we can get from the decisions we made could really push us forward in a positive way… "I think I probably need to get some perspective on that, to answer that question accurately," Roseman said when asked what he thinks he's accomplished to this point in terms of the roster. "I will take some time and put together a plan on how to address some things. Again, our work isn't done. We're not going on vacation. We're going to do whatever we can to put the best possible team forward."
