Class 2A girls
100 Hurdles: Olivia Thomas, Mid Valley. She is the class of the field and one of the top in the state for the event.
100: Olivia Haines, Western Wayne. Had a strong time and finished among the top sprinters at the Spagna Championship meet, and is the reigning champion.
1600: Kendyl Weisgold, Elk Lake. She is the defending champion and has been consistent all season, but will receive a strong challenge from Spagna champion Montrose’s Avery Kerr.
400: Bria Hill, Lakeland. A sophomore, she popped the top time in District 2 Class 2A at the Spagna Championships.
300 Hurdles: Kaylyn Davis, Lakeland. Recovered from a tumble in the 100 hurdles to win the championship in this event at the Spagna meet.
800: Kendyl Weisgold, Elk Lake. She has a good combination of endurance and speed, and a strong will to win.
200: Bria Hill, Lakeland. Has been the top sprinter in the Lackawanna Track Conference all season.
3200: Ava Rebello, Montrose. Competed hard against two of the top distance runners in Class 3A and the state, and had a great performance at the Spagna Championships.
Shot: Anna Tillotson, Montrose: Has shown great consistency and is coming off a title win at the Spagna Championship meet.
Discus: Sadie Booths, Western Wayne. Had one of the top distances in the state at the Godek Championships and is the Spagna champion.
Javelin: Sadie Jones, Montrose. Set a school record with a championship-winning throw at the Spagna meet.
Long: Olivia Thomas, Mid Valley. Has the top distance in the state this season for the event and has the top school record distance in LTC history.
Triple: Olivia Thomas, Mid Valley. Leaped better than 39 feet at the Spagna Championships and set an LTC-best school record distance.
High: Olivia Thomas, Mid Valley. She is the best all-around athlete in girls track and field and is the Spagna champion.
Pole: Juleighanna Eldred, Western Wayne. She has continued carrying on the tradition of outstanding Western Wayne athletes in the event.
Class 2A boys
110 Hurdles: Weston Yannone, Dunmore. Has established himself as one of the best in LTC history and won gold at the Spagna Championships.
100: Max Kuwaye, Montrose. Had an outstanding season for the Meteors in the dashes and finished third at the Spagna meet.
1600: Kendel Jones, Elk Lake. He is the overwhelming favorite in an event where athletes have been shattering school records all season.
400: Nico Christian, Montrose. This is going to be a heck of a race between Christian and Dunmore’s Jacob Costanzo.
300 Hurdles: Robert Carrelle, Western Wayne. One of the top athletes, who is fully healthy and coming off a championship win in the event at the Spagna meet.
800: Kendel Jones, Elk Lake. He is going to get pushed by a stable of runners from Lake-Lehman.
The favorites include Olivia Thomas in the 100 Hurdles, Olivia Haines in the 100, Kendyl Weisgold in the 1600, and Bria Hill in the 400.

Long: Josh Dudick, Dunmore. Has a knack for coming through in the clutch. He set a school record during the season and won Spagna gold on his final attempt.
Triple: Kevin Vincent, Holy Cross. He is a fierce competitor in the big meets and earned a win at the Spagna Championships.
High: Carter Sload, Dunmore. In a loaded field of talented jumpers, Sload is the most consistent, with very few misses leading up to his top height attempts.
Pole: Robert Carrelle, Western Wayne. He has been a top performer in the event for two seasons and launched to a personal-best height of 14-7 at the Spagna meet.
Class 3A girls
100 Hurdles: Emma Simmons, Delaware Valley. Coming off a couple of strong postseason performances at the Cavalier Invitational and the Spagna Championships.
100: Pia Zangardi, North Pocono. She has had a steady rise to becoming the top short sprinter in the LTC.
1600: Anna Pucilowski, Abington Heights. An anchor of the Lady Comets’ championship dynasty, she is looking to go out with gold medals at her final District 2 Championship meet.
400: Anijha Turner, Scranton. Has burst onto the scene in the 400 with two record-shattering performances at the end of the season.
300 Hurdles: Jenesa Sancho, Wyoming Area. She won titles at the Godek Twilight meet and the Wyoming Valley Conference Championships.
800: June Brown, Wallenpaupack. Versatile athlete who has been a spark for the Lady Buckhorns.
200: Aliya Lucarelli, Abington Heights. A freshman, she powered to a win in the 200 at the Spagna Championships.
3200: Anna Pucilowski, Abington Heights. She and Delaware Valley’s Grace Holderith waged an outstanding battle at the Spagna Championships.
Shot: Sarah Pasternick, Crestwood. This is going to be one of the most tightly contested events in the Class 3A meet.
Discus: Nadia Blume, Wallenpaupack. Has made a steady climb all season and had a personal-best distance at the Spagna Championships.
Javelin: Isla Centak, Crestwood. Won the event at the Godek meet with a personal-best distance of 122-1.
Long: Nevaeh Baran, Nanticoke Area. She is the top jumper in Class 3A and one of the best in the state.
Triple: Nevaeh Baran, Nanticoke Area. Has a best distance of 39-3 this season and is an overwhelming favorite.
High: Kiana Seid, Abington Heights. She posted the top height of the season in Class 3A with a second-place finish at the Spagna Championships.
Pole: Kiana Seid, Abington Heights. Had the top height cleared this season (11-3) at the Wyalusing Invitational and is the Spagna champion.
Class 3A boys
110 Hurdles: Elijah Zeneski, Crestwood. A sophomore, he is the WVC champion in the event.
100: Timothy Leonard, Wilkes-Barre Area. Prepared to take his place in District 2 history after an eye-popping time of 10.45 at the WVC Championships.
1600: Aiden Janowicz, Wallenpaupack. He is the returning champion and is a tough competitor.
400: Bryce Pagano, Wallenpaupack. Has shown incredible resolve after returning from an injury and is rounding into top form.
300 Hurdles: Elijah Zeneski, Crestwood. He is a quality athlete who swept the hurdles events at the WVC Championships.
800: Aiden Janowicz, Wallenpaupack. This is his favorite event, and he elevated the bar with a school record in the regular season and a gold-medal win at the Spagna meet.
200: Timothy Leonard, Wilkes-Barre Area. In addition to his 100 time, he posted the fastest 200 in the state at the WVC Championships.
3200: Seamus Wallace, West Scranton. He has been overshadowed in the postseason by a large group of talented Class 2A runners in LTC, but he is a talent.
Shot: Josh Mruk, Wyoming Area. He has dominated the event all season and has won gold medals at five straight invitationals/championship meets.
Discus: Ryan Vargo, Wallenpaupack. He started the season with a school record distance and has won gold medals at four invitationals.
Javelin: Hunter Pitcavage, Dallas. The defending champion and state-medal winner, he has a season-best mark of 210 feet.
Long: Luke Kopetchny, Wyoming Area. Consistent all season, past 22 feet, and is the WVC champion.
Triple: Cameron Moses, Delaware Valley. After a strong indoor season, he had his best mark (44-3) of the season at the Spagna Championships.
High: Brandon Carter, Tunkhannock. He won the WVC championship in a battle against the top performers in Class 3A.
Pole: Anson Jumper, Crestwood. Earned the WVC title with a season-best vault of 13-3.
