Having sacked Liam Rosenior on Wednesday, the Blues are once again looking for another head coach, with Calum McFarlane placed in interim charge for the remainder of the season.
Chelsea are reportedly going to take their time to make sure they get the right appointment, but there’s understood to be seven or eight names under consideration.
Andoni Iraola is thought to be an early front-runner, whilst Chelsea are said to have admiration for Fabregas, who’s doing a brilliant job at Como.
The Como president has said Fabregas is free to join Chelsea if he wishes, and the 38-year-old has now addressed speculation linking him with a return to Stamford Bridge.
“Nothing to say about that, it’d be stupid to think about that now, my focus is on next game against Genoa,” he said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano on
Cesc Fabregas stated he has nothing to say about the Chelsea job and feels it would be foolish to consider it at this time.
Calum McFarlane has been placed in interim charge of Chelsea for the remainder of the season following the sacking of Liam Rosenior.
