It’s been put to Liam Rosenior a few times that his side are mentally weak, and he’s been asked if this was something he might fix by buying new players.
Previously he’s said that he’s speaking to those upstairs at the club about doing just that. But after the defeat to Man City he rejected the idea that that was something he could rely on – he doesn’t have time to wait until the summer.
Rosenior knows he doesn’t have time for summer to fix issues
“I have to change it now. I’m not a manager that hides behind ‘maybe we need to do something with other players in the transfer market’. I need to change it now,” the Chelsea boss said.
“That’s why I’m here. So it’s something that we have to address because it’s happened too many times where we’ve been in games against top teams. First half, I felt we actually were very, very good today. Same against PSG for 75 minutes.
“But then we concede and then the cards start to fold.”
In other news…
Clearly Rosenior is under “severe pressure” to beat Man U this weekend, and we wouldn’t really fancy his chances.
The Chelsea manager was already being compared to Graham Potter for the wrong reasons. Now he’s made it so much worse.
