As highlighted by Fox59/CBS4âs Mike Chappell, the Indianapolis Colts have some important offseason dates coming upâincluding pre-draft media availability by both longtime general manager Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen early next week:
While the Colts currently do not have a first round pick, as their Pick #16 was sent to the New York Jets as part of the Sauce Gardner 2025 trade deadline deal (along with next yearâs first round pick), they do have both picks #47 and #78 on âDay 2â in both Rounds 2 and 3 of this yearâs NFL Draft respectively, among their other selections.
Certainly not insignificant given the Colts clear positional needs at linebacker and defensive end, as well as arguably at wide receiver and safety.
As it stands though, the Colts offseason, after the frenzied first waves of free agency a handful of weeks ago, is starting to get busy again as we start getting into the heart of spring offseason activitiesâlargely driven by late Aprilâs much anticipated NFL Draft, which is a premier league offseason event.
