Indiana men’s basketball landed its second commitment of the day this afternoon when Duke transfer guard Darren Harris announced his intentions to join the Hoosiers via social media:
Harris, a rising junior, has spent the first two seasons of his college career coming off the bench for the Blue Devils at shooting guard. Minutes were hard to come by plenty of high-caliber talent ahead of him in both seasons, each of which ended with deep tournament runs. He averaged 3.3 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 9.7 minutes per game as a sophomore in 2025-26.
He was a 4-star prospect out of Paul VI Catholic High School in Virginia in the class of 2024, ranking in as the 11th highest-rated small forward and 39th highest-rated prospect overall, per the 247Sports Composite.
Harris, who was known for his 3-point shooting prowess as a high school prospect, won’t see the same blocks to playing time in Bloomington as he did in Durham. He’ll have plenty of opportunities to shoot the basketball in Darian DeVries’ offense.
