The Miami Dolphins selected Louisville wide receiver Chris Bell with the 94th overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft. Bell, who recorded 151 catches for 2,166 yards and 12 touchdowns, fell to the third round due to a late-season ACL injury.
After taking Texas Tech wide receiver Caleb Douglas and Ohio State tight end Will Kacmarek with their first two picks in the third round of the 2026 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins were back on the clock at No. 94 overall.
With that selection, the Dolphins took Louisville wide receiver Chris Bell.
Bell, 21, spent the last four seasons at Louisville, where he caught 151 passes for 2,166 yards and 12 touchdowns in 47 games and earned All-ACC honors this past year.
If it weren't for a late-season torn ACL that ended his final season prematurely, Bell may have been a first or second-round pick in this draft. Instead, Miami was able to grab him in the third round.
With Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell as the team's top pairing at wide receiver, they desperately needed to address the position in the draft, and now they have two who can compete for real roles.
However, with the position that Miami is in, they could let Bell rest up and get as much rest and recovery as he needs before getting him on the field. The broadcast team even mentioned the possibility of letting him sit out the whole season.
