The Williams F1 team has announced a new partnership with Marvel that will feature its drivers, Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz, and team principal James Vowles in a comic. Supporting them in a fight against the bad guys will be Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, and numerous other Marvel stars.
What better place to announce this iconic partnership than Miami? The comic book will be available for sale with special event exclusive covers starting at the Monaco Grand Prix in June, and will be available in comic shops across the U.S. in October. Fans will be able to pre-order their copy of the comic at the Williams Fan Zone in Miami this weekend.
The Williams F1 team switches to superhero mode in the comic, battling Doctor Doom in the middle of an F1 season. Being in a Marvel comic, they will not be alone in this battle. Assisting them in the mission will be Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, and other renowned Marvel superheroes.
Speaking about the unique collaboration that could attract comic fans in Miami, Luke Timmins, Director of Merchandise and Licensing, Atlassian Williams F1 Team, said in a statement:
“Alex and Carlos are already heroes to our millions of fans, and now they get to prove it in print by uniting with the Marvel Super Heroes to save racing from Doctor Doom. We are proud to be bringing these two universes together for the first time, and hope it gives fans another way to find and fall in love with our iconic Atlassian Williams F1 Team. There is no better place than Miami to launch a unique collaboration like this, and with special edition covers for races around the world the story is only just beginning.”
Williams went on to state that the Fan Zone in Miami by Kraken will also “feature a mural of Marvel stars, and a giant Marvel cover photo opp.”
Special edition variants of the Williams-Marvel comics will also be available for sale at select race locations through the remainder of the 2026 season, such as Silverstone, Madrid, Singapore, Austin, and Las Vegas Grands Prix.
