IT ENDS GOALLESS BETWEEN MILAN PRIMAVERA AND ATALANTA
IT ENDS GOALLESS BETWEEN MILAN PRIMAVERA AND ATALANTA
Neither AC Milan nor Atalanta were able to score on Matchday 33 of the Primavera 1 league. Both sides came away from the PUMA House of Football (reopened after renovations) with one point. The result helps Atalanta, who remain in the playoff zone, while also bringing the Rossoneri closer to safety in the standings. Overall, a fair result as both teams had their chances during the game in Milano.
For Renna's side, the first half was better than the second, in an overall positive performance. They created plenty of chances in attack while remaining focused to stay solid in defence led by a sharp Bouyer. The second clean sheet is testament to that solidity. The Rossoneri's April continues on Saturday afternoon at 15:00 CEST, when they face Sassuolo away in an important match to keep climbing the table.

MATCH REPORT After a fairly slow start, it was a high-tempo first half at the PUMA House of Football. In the 8th minute the Rossoneri had the first attempt, with Plazzotta driving forward and narrowly missing the target. The pressure continued and we came close to taking the lead in the 12th minute through Scotti, and again in the 15th with Perera. Then, after a header from Riccio that Bouyer dealt with well, Sala had a double chance in the 28th minute which he couldn't convert. Renna's side kept pushing and in the 33rd minute they created their best chance of the half. Scotti broke down the wing, linked up with Mancioppi and fired with his right that Anelli dove to save. The final 15 minutes of the first half were quieter, with no real chances to report.
Atalanta were stronger in the second half. In the 47th minute Riccio tried his luck from far out, but was blocked. In the 59th minute Arrigoni was denied by a goal-line clearance by Cissè. At the hour mark, Milan Primavera started to push forward again, led by captain Scotti. In the 65th minute he did well to beat his man and send in a cross that substitute Zaramella just missed. In the 74th minute, Scotti found space in the box but he couldn't keep his shot on target. The closing stages were intense and competitive, but neither goalkeeper was threatened again before full-time after three minutes of added time.
