Price was widely regarded as the No. 2 running back in the 2026 NFL Draft class behind his Notre Dame teammate Jeremiyah Love heading into the draft. Seattle seized the opportunity to select the 22-year-old Price and insert him into a mutually beneficial situation in Seattle.
Zach Charbonnet, the Seahawks’ starting running back, will be out to begin the 2026 NFL season as he nurses a torn ACL, which will give Price the opportunity to assert himself as the featured back on the team.
Emanuel Wilson will be Price’s biggest competition for touches in 2026. However, Wilson has yet to amass more than 502 rushing yards in any of his three seasons in the league thus far.

The Seahawks are a run-heavy offense that will present Price with all of the opportunities he needs to maximize his yardage in 2026. He’ll need to earn it in training camp and show why he was worthy of the No. 32 overall pick in the draft. But his body of work suggests that he’s capable of doing so.
