The Phoenix Suns lost to the Portland Trail Blazers in a close game in the Play-In Tournament. It was a stunning loss for the Suns because they had a double-digit lead in the second quarter, but the Suns collapsed yet again.
Since this was a Play-In game between the seventh and eighth seeds, the Suns will have another shot. However, this was a game defined by officiating, which Suns guard Jalen Green made loaded comments about.
Green was excellent in the Play-In game for the Suns. Since Devin Booker was struggling, Green spearheaded the Suns' offense with his 35 points. Unfortunately, he felt that the referees could have played a role in helping the team.

On the other side, the Blazers had Deni Avdija, who is well-known for his physical style. That netted him 13 trips to the free-throw line, which was tied for the game-high with Booker.
Green felt that he was playing physical basketball as well, but he was not getting rewarded by the referees as much as Avdija did.
"Calling that same foul. They gotta call that both ways if they're going to call it for one person all night," Green said about the referees ignoring the fouls he felt should have been called.
Now, the Suns face a do-or-die game against the winner of the second Western Conference Play-In game between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers. Either way, the Suns will play a tough matchup, and Green will want to play a big role in a potential victory.
