Jason Kelce reveals his take on the upcoming NFL draft. Kelce played as a center for the Philadelphia Eagles for thirteen years. Although he retired in 2024, Kelce boasts of an incredible career as a sports commentator, offering his expert critique of the NFL. On April 21, he made a campus visit to Rowan University, where he spoke about his successful NFL career and the upcoming NFL draft.
Jason Kelce shares his thoughts on life post-retirement and the upcoming NFL draft. In an exclusive interview with 6 ABC Action News, he revealed he expects some unpredictable situations. Kelce said, âItâs going to be chaotic. Things are going to happen that no one sees coming. Weâre going to add some new teammates here in Philadelphia, which will be very exciting.â
The 38-year-old was asked to share his thoughts on Eaglesâ wide receiver A.J. Brown. Kelce began by revealing that he knows him personally and that he is an âawesome teammate and an incredibly talented player.â However, he refused to give a direct answer as to whether the Eagles would trade Brown could or not.
Kelce gave a non-committal response, âAt the same time, youâve seen the frustrations over the last couple of years. I donât know where he is or where the team is. Everything gets to a point where itâs gonna come to an end, and maybe itâs at that point.â
However, Kelce clarified that he doesnât think Brown was the reason why the Eaglesâ offense wasnât good last year. The former Eagles player explained, âAJ has clearly been frustrated and sometimes that frustrates the fans, but one thing I do find unique is that the players really havenât manifested in a negative way towards AJ, which leads me to think that a lot of people understand AJâs frustrations. I think AJ is a great player who, if he is moved, the Eagles will miss him.â For those unversed, Kelce was a crucial reason why the Eagles bagged their first-ever Super Bowl title in 2018.
