The New York Giants had a lot of work to do this offseason. The first item of business was to hire John Harbaugh as the new head coach, which included an overhaul of the coaching staff.
With that piece of business out of the way, the Giants and general manager Joe Schoen moved their focus to free agency and the 2026 NFL draft. New York has made the playoffs just twice in 10 years, and the roster needed some love this offseason.
Defensively, Dexter Lawrence is gone, and Schoen prioritized adding veterans as depth and rotational pieces.
Offensively, there are four new offensive linemen, plus a fullback, and the Giants added a couple of young wide receivers and tight end Isaiah Likely. The New York Post's Brandon London caught up with quarterback Jaxson Dart this week and asked him about the Giants' new offensive coaching staff.
"I think that we've been able to make something really unique. It's different," Dart says. "And you just brought up three bright minds (Nagy, Roman, Callahan) who have all done things in different ways and had a lot of success doing it, so you're just meshing something, and they've done an amazing job of not making it too complicated, but also making it to where it's complex and efficient and fast. It's going to be a really explosive offense. Our identity is going to be violent and running the ball, and I can't wait."
Running game. Check. Violence. Check. What else you got, Dart?
Jordan Raanan got another adjective for the Giants' 2026 offense from Dart: Versatile.
"I just think we're very versatile," Dart replies. "I think it starts there, and then the other thing is, I just can't wait for all my boys to be back and healthy. I'm excited for the pieces that we brought in; they're going to help us a ton. We're just going to be a physical, violent team. That goes on the offensive side of the ball, the defensive side of the ball, and special teams. So, the boys and I can't wait to get out there."
Dart is entering his second year in the NFL, the first where he will be the starting quarterback at the beginning of the season.

Last season was marred by injuries to wide receiver Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo, among others. Both should be ready before the season starts, and with the additional pieces Dart has to work with, plus the added protection along the line, the Giants' offense might have a fighting chance in 2026.
