The New York Jets have four picks inside the top two rounds, with selections at No. 2, 16, 33, and 44 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft.
While the Jets seem poised to go after a defensive player, most likely an edge, with the No. 2 pick, the rest of the draft is wide open for many positions.
But, regardless of what the Jets do, they must address this 400-yard problem in the draft. As ESPN's Rich Cimini shared, wide receiver is a position that the Jets "absolutely" need to address in the draft.
Jets 'absolutely' need to address 400-yard WR problem
"Do the Jets need to draft a wide receiver? Absolutely. Consider: They're the only team in NFL history to play at least 16 games without a 40-yard receiver, per ESPN Research," Cimini writes.
That is some brutal history to make, and similar to how their NFL-record zero-pick season has made defensive back a priority, this record should make WR a massive need.
The Jets need to find wide receiver help in the 2026 NFL Draft, and fortunately, there are a lot of great options all around the board.

In Round 1, the Jets could go after Carnell Tate out of Ohio State, though that might have to come via a trade. Makai Lemon out of USC, Jordyn Tyson out of Arizona State, and Omar Cooper Jr. out of Indiana are all top-tier receivers the Jets could draft at No. 16.
Then, if the Jets need to wait until Round 2 for a new wide receiver opposite Garrett Wilson, then Chris Bell out of Louisville, Denzel Boston out of Washington, or KC Concepcion out of Texas A&M are all worth pick No. 33.
However, if the Jets do it, they must add a wide receiver in the first few rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft. Wilson and Adonai Mithcell could use some more help, especially for new quarterback Geno Smith.
