Joe Rogan’s controversial rant about Khamzat Chimaev vs Sean Strickland sets Twitter ablaze

The main event at UFC 328 has left fans and pundits split over whether it lived up to expectations.

Khamzat Chimaev’s first title defence headlined the card at the Prudential Center in Newark. Sean Strickland pulled off a surprise result, taking Chimaev’s belt to become a two-time middleweight champion.

The five-round battle certainly delivered in terms of drama, but not everyone shared Rogan’s high praise for it. The familiar commentary team of Rogan, Daniel Cormier, and Jon Anik were in the booth for Saturday night’s event.

While the play-by-play duties haven’t changed much over the years, fans have grown increasingly critical of the commentary. This time, it was Rogan’s take on the main event that caught their attention.

Fans hit back after Joe Rogan calls Chimaev vs Strickland one of UFC’s greatest middleweight fights

Rogan has been around long enough to have seen some of the division’s best battles. Still, many were surprised to hear him place Chimaev vs Strickland among those classics.

“The hyperbole from Rogan needs to chill. Calling that one of the best middleweight title fights of all time is a disrespect to some of the greatness we’ve seen out of the division in the past.”
