Former Chelsea captain John Terry says he is âworriedâ about the future of the club and the âposition we are inâ following the sacking of Liam Rosenior.
Terry, who works as a part-time mentor in Chelseaâs academy, also confirmed he had not received a call about helping interim manager Calum McFarlane.
Rosenior was sacked just three months into a six-year contract and with Chelsea looking unlikely to qualify for next seasonâs Champions League.
Under-21s coach McFarlane will take charge until the end of the season, having overseen the draw at Manchester City following the departure of Enzo Maresca earlier this campaign.
âIÂ sit here worrying tonight about what is going to happen with our football club,â Terry said on his TikTok account. âLooking at us needing a manager after the weekend, Iâm not sure when ownership are going to make a decision and bring a new manager in.
âIs a real top manager going to come to Chelsea Football Club at the moment in the position we are in? Canât buy players, looking like we are going to have to sell potentially and that will be our best players, which is always tough. We will not be playing in European football, I hope I am wrong.
â[Iâm] really, really frustrated, and worried more importantly. I feel the anger, feel the frustration of the Chelsea supporters.
âBut listen, Iâve seen 17 managers in my era come and go as Chelsea captain. What the players have to do is just get together and really focus on the weekendâs game and forget about all the noise around and everything.
âWe have a massive game, it is really difficult, but also really easy to do as players to forget the noise and focus on whatâs ahead of you and that is the Leeds game at the weekend. Weâve seen this time and time and time again, but maybe the future isnât as clear as weâve always seen.â

In February, Terry said he was âfrustratedâ at being overlooked for the Chelsea interim role following the departure of Maresca. He said he âshould have been a partâ of the caretaker group that oversaw the draw at Manchester City.
âI am not sure what Calumâs backroom staff is going to look like, I have not had a call, I have not had a message,â Terry added in his TikTok post. âI will be continuing my role in the academy, I will be in the academy tomorrow, a big couple of games coming up.
âWe will all get behind Calum, he did a great job away against Man City previously and we will get behind the boys because that is what we do.'
