BLUFFTON, S.C. ā Justin Rose isnāt ready to get back on the horse this week.
The 45-year-old Englishman withdrew from the PGA Tourās RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links on Monday, a day after finished T-3 at the Masters.
Rose, a 13-time winner on Tour, including at this yearās Farmers Insurance Open, will be replaced in the 82-man, no-cut field by Michael Thorbjornsen.

Rose held a two-shot lead at 12-under as he headed to the second nine at Augusta National, but came home in 38.
āI was really in control. First 10 holes I felt like I was, yeah, I was," Rose said Sunday evening. "The mentality was to run through the finish line, not just try and get it done. I was playing great, but just momentum shifted for me around the Amen Corner.ā
Rose missed right at the 11thĀ and made bogey, tugged his tee shot left at the par-3 12thĀ to bogey again and three-putted the 13th from 30 feet after reaching the par 5 in two. Playing two groups behind Rose, Rory McIlroy made birdie on 12 and 13 and went on to win the Masters for a second straight year.
Rose has twice been a hard-luck loser in playoffs at Augusta National, but this one might hurt the most after letting the lead slip away. Still, Rose held his head high and spoke about the week that was afterward.

āFelt like the crowd was amazing to me all week long. They pulled for me all week long. I felt their encouragement and support. At the end, it kind of goes a little flat. Itās more of a sympathy than anything,ā he said. āIt was still, nonetheless, very beautiful. But, yeah, another little stinger.ā
Rose played the RBC Heritage last year, finishing 42nd. Heās played in the tournament eight times, which is annually contested the week after the Masters, but hasnāt recorded a top-10 finish since 2004.
Rose, the 2013 U.S. Open winner, will seek to win his elusive second major next month at the PGA Championship atĀ Aronimink**,**Ā where heās won before and in the same city where he collected his lone major at Merion Golf Club.
