How Garrett Nussmeier's draft impacts Patrick Mahomes' future with the Chiefs
Kaidon Salter, a former Colorado quarterback, received a rookie minicamp invitation from the Tennessee Titans after going undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft. He aims to impress the Titans during the minicamp to further his NFL career.
Former Colorado quarterback Kaidon Salter was not selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. But his NFL dreams aren't over, as the dynamic signal-caller received a rookie minicamp invitation from the Tennessee Titans.
Salter, if he does not receive any other rookie minicamp invites, will have a few practices to impress the Titans brass and head coach Robert Salah. Depending on the timing of the Titans' rookie minicamp, Salter could have an opportunity to participate in multiple minicamps.
During his one season at Colorado, Salter started nine games at quarterback in 2026, throwing for 1,414 yards with 10 touchdowns. He added 356 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground. The production was relatively subdued compared to what might have been expected from Salter, who was the Conference USA MVP at Liberty a couple of years ago.
Salter isĀ one of six former BuffaloesĀ to sign with a team post-draft, joining players like wide receiver Sincere Brown and defensive end Arden Walker.
As a team, Colorado did not have any players selected in the seven-round NFL draft, but the program's success with undrafted free agents should be noted. In the last 11 seasons, CU has had at least one undrafted free agent make a final 53-man roster.
