The Kansas City Chiefs need to add some firepower on offense, and they'll have an opportunity to do that in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft.

The Chiefs will pick in the top 10 in the draft for the first time in over a decade, and thus they should have plenty of top-tier talent to choose from.

However, the Chiefs have been urged to avoid one particular player in the first round of the draft.

Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report advised the Chiefs against picking Arizona State star wide receiver Jordyn Tyson due to injury concerns. Tyson, a two-time First-team All-Big 12 selection, is considered to be one of the best receiver prospects in the draft class.

"Tyson has a concerning history of injury that needs to be considered. He tore his ACL, MCL and PCL as a freshman at Colorado and only played in nine games last season as he dealt with a hamstring issue down the stretch of his final collegiate campaign," Ballentine wrote.

"His skills will make him a tempting selection for a team that needs young playmakers to step up. However, needs at offensive tackle and edge-rusher should leave Kansas City with better, higher-floor selections."

The injury concerns about Tyson are real, but so is his talent and upside. He had over 1,800 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns during his last two seasons in college and he had a career college average of over 14 yards per reception, which indicates that he's a big-play threat that defenses will have to pay attention to.

In this situation, the Chiefs would have to evaluate the risk-to-reward ratio of selecting Tyson. If they think that the potential reward outweighs the risk, then perhaps they would pull the trigger. If not, then they should walk away.
