On Feb. 11, Crimson Tide coach Nate Oats mentioned that Bristow was considering a medical redshirt, but indicated that the final decision would be up to his "camp." He hadn't been seen in about a month, and he wasn't to be seen again.
It is still undetermined whether Bristow went through the process to apply for a medical redshirt.
Bristow, a rising junior, arrived in Tuscaloosa by way of Tarleton State, which was just two hours away from his hometown of Holliday, Texas. His sister, Jalynn, just finished her junior season playing guard and forward at Texas Tech.
The Crimson Tide’s frontcourt returns not only Bristow, but London Jemison — and potentially Amari Allen depending on how his NBA Draft journey unfolds.
