Kevin Zeitler's availability is a significant concern for the Tennessee Titans as they face uncertainty on their offensive line. The team is evaluating options at center and right guard ahead of training camp.

The lack of straightforward options at center and right guard have generated constant discussion around the Tennessee Titans this offseason. That talking point appears primed to stick around through training camp. The Titans may head into camp with major questions across the offensive line.
Right guard is a toss up. Sophomore fifth-round pick Jackson Slater is the current in-house favorite to claim the starting gig. If Slater ends up primarily focusing on center, however, another opportunity is created.
The Titans signed veteran guard Cordell Volson in free agency. Volson, who missed the entire 2025 season through injury, has started 48 career contests at guard. He’s been a below-average starter, but he gives new offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo a bounce-back project to work with.
There’s also fifth-round pick Fernando Carmona. Day 3 rookies rarely compete for starting jobs, but the lack of an easy answer at right guard creates an opportunity for Carmona. He possesses the toughness, experience, and leadership Mike Borgonzi appears to appreciate on the offensive line.
Kevin Zeitler's availability remains uncertain, impacting the Titans' offensive line strategy.
Sophomore fifth-round pick Jackson Slater is currently the favorite for the starting right guard position.
Cordell Volson's signing provides the Titans with a veteran option at guard, despite his previous injury and below-average performance.

The Titans received stellar right guard play from 2025 starter Kevin Zeitler. The veteran Zeitler remains available in free agency. Indications are he plans to continue playing, but is waiting for the right opportunity (or to skip offseason workouts).
Easton Freeze of A to Z Sports has reported a few times now that a reunion between Zeitler and the Titans appears less likely than it once did. That’s interesting, since the Titans would clearly still benefit from his presence. As long as he’s available in free agency, fans will continue hoping for his return.
Until proven otherwise, Slater, Volson, and Carmona are the Titans blockers contending for the right guard position. Slater is the presumed favorite, though his versatility to play center adds a flexible footnote. Borgonzi is rolling the dice at right guard.
