Virgil van Dijk says his side did not do enough to deserve to go through in the Champions League against PSG.
Liverpool were beaten 4-0 on aggregate over two legs in the quarter-final tie, losing 2-0 at Anfield after a double from Ousmane Dembele.
“Disappointed to be knocked out, but PSG deserve it to go through,” van Dijk admitted after the game.
“Knocking on the door is not enough. I’m disappointed that we’re knocked out and that’s the reality.”

Next up for Liverpool is a Merseyside derby with Everton as they look to boost their hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
“We should be very disappointed at this stage, at this point,” van Dijk said. “But a massive game waits for us, we all know how big it is. It will be a tough one but it’s something to look forward to.
“At this stage I’m just not in a good place because we got knocked out of the Champions League.”
