According to SPORT, La Liga president Javier Tebas has met with several FC Barcelona officials today.
The La Liga chief landed in Barcelona today on a private flight from Madrid. His main reason for the visit was the Trofeo Conde de Godó, held at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona.
There, Tebas met members of Barcelona’s hierarchy in a relaxed setting. Upon arrival, he was greeted in a normal and friendly manner by Alejandro Echevarria and Bojan Krkic, as well as president-elect Joan Laporta, in a scene reflecting the current harmony between both parties.
It is not officially a working lunch, but it is clear that, with everyone at the same venue, there will be time to discuss important matters.
The meeting comes just days after Barcelona’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League, following an aggregate loss to Atletico Madrid.
A sporting setback that, as often happens at this stage of the season, opens the door to all kinds of transfer rumours and boardroom movements, especially with the summer approaching.
