LSU football's offensive line disappointed in 2025. The group was talented, yet LSU ranked near the bottom of the SEC in rushing efficiency. The Tigers didn't hold up in pass protection, either.
New LSU head coach Lane Kiffin knew fixing the offensive line was a priority. The Tigers attacked the transfer portal and retained a couple of talented pieces. Kiffin tabbed Eric Wolford and James Cregg to coach the group -- both have experience coaching SEC title offensive lines.
With spring practice in full swing, Kiffin provided an optimistic update on LSU's offensive line.
"I think that offensively (the offensive line) has probably developed the best through a couple of weeks," Kiffin said, "Has played well together and in my opinion has dramatically improved from when we got here. And so that's probably been the one bright spot."
When Kiffin says "one bright spot," he's referencing the struggles elsewhere on the offense. The unit is a work in progress this spring as a transfer-heavy team learns a new scheme.
LSU's OL will be headlined by left tackle Jordan Seaton, the No. 1-ranked transfer portal lineman. The Tigers have high hopes for center Braelin Moore, too, who returns to LSU after a decent 2025 campaign.
It's still early, and there's a lot that needs to be figured out on the offensive side of the ball, but LSU's offensive line making strides is a positive sign.
"I think the offensive line is coming along really well," Kiffin said.
