Lions fans deliver grade for the entire 2026 draft class

Following the completion of the 2026 NFL Draft, we published our latest SB Nation Reacts survey, sponsored by the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook, asking Detroit Lions fans to assign a grade to the entire draft class.

First, here’s a quick reminder of the team’s 2026 draft class:

• Round 1, pick 17: Blake Miller, RT, Clemson
• Round 2, pick 44: Derrick Moore, EDGE, Michigan
• Round 4, pick 118: Jimmy Rolder, LB, Michigan
• Round 5, pick 157: Keith Abney, CB, Arizona State
• Round 5, pick 168: Kendrick Law, Slot WR, Kentucky
• Round 6, pick 205: Skyler Gill-Howard, DL, Texas A&M
• Round 7, pick 222: Tyre West, DL, Tennessee

And now for the results from our survey:

A strong 84% of votes deliver a B or better grade for the Lions’ entire draft class, but let’s take a look at the comment section of our original survey article and from our survey in The Feed, for explanations of why fans assigned the grade they did (slightly edited for clarity).

• Bishop West: “I’ll give it a grade A for the first two picks. Anything positive from rounds 4-7 is a cherry on top.”
• jjrod78: “I would say it reminds me of a slightly better version of last year’s draft. Solid if unspectacular. I would say like B+ […] lots of guys who fit their mold of grit, character, toughness, whatever you want to call it. So feel good about this outcome.
• ULTIMATEpunisher007: “Solid B+ draft and I love it. The best part was (that) Brad didn’t spend next year’s picks on any of the trade-ups. Nothing flashy with these picks, but I see 2, possibly 3 starters by year two.”
• sweetiecards: “Really like the Miller pick, a perfect fit. Like Moore, too, good pass-rushing juice. Rolder wasn’t on my radar. Abney a solid choice. Everyone else was going to be fighting just to make the roster, so not unhappy with Law or the DTs.”
• Burton Guster Fan Club: “Even if every single other pick flops, Miller is so good that this class is at least a B. If the coaches are right about the two Michigan defenders, this could be an elite class.”
