Looking at the current UCLA Bruins 2026-2027 depth chart

Trent Perry had a solid sophomore season but UCLA will need more from the West Covina native next season. Perry 12.6 points per game with strong shooting splits but it’ll be interesting to see how he responds to being a focal point for opposing defenses.

Shooting Guard: Eric Freeny/Jaylen Petty

Eric Freeny became a bit of a fan favorite last year as a freshman but Freeny will be an important piece in the 2026-2027 season, as his rebounding ability in the backcourt will be much-needed with an otherwise small backcourt.

Small Forward: Eric Dailey Jr./Joe Philon III

UCLA’s guards may be undersized, but Eric Dailey Jr. and Joe Philon III both give Cronin a lot of size at the wing position. Barring any major transfer commitments, Dailey will take on a very large role in the Bruins offense next season.

Power Forward: Sergej Macura/Brandon Williams/Filip Jovic

Mick Cronin has a few different options at power forward, including Philon, but the group doesn’t instill a ton of confidence for UCLA fans. Jovic and Macura both showed flashes in the SEC last year but don’t appear to be reliable starting options yet.

Center: Xavier Booker/Javonte Floyd

Xavier Booker has an even clearer path to consistent playing time this year with UCLA. Booker showed flashes last year, but like much of the team, was too inconsistent with his chances on the court.
