Manchester City Are Facing Stiff Competition For This Bundesliga Playmaker: Is He Worth The Fight?
In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Manchester City are facing stiff competition for Bayer 04 Leverkusen playmaker Ibrahim Maza. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils would have to rival Liverpool and Aston Villa in the race to land the Algerian talent this summer.
The 20-year-old has caught the eye at times with his performances for the German club in the final third this season. Maza has found the back of the net five times and earned six assists in 41 matches for Bayer Leverkusen in this campaign across all fronts.
The Algerian sensation is currently one of the most gifted playmakers in the Bundesliga. Hence, it is no wonder that Man City are in the running to sign him in this upcoming transfer window.
His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for the Mancunian giants to pursue this off-season.

Maza is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to create some decent chances for his teammates in the final third.
The Algerian sensation can shoot the ball with power from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Man City manage to get a deal over the line for him this off-season.
We can expect Maza to bring more quality and depth to Pep Guardiola’s frontline. He is good enough to serve as a decent, rotational piece in Man City’s squad.
At 20, Maza has got a bright future ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Mancunian giants to pursue at the end of this campaign. He would be well worth the fight, so Guardiola should consider stepping up his efforts to land him later this year. However, Man City has to give him some time to adjust to life in England before they can get the best out of the talented youngster.
