In a recent report, A Bola claimed that Manchester City are in talks to land Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand. It has been revealed that the Mancunian giants are eyeing a move to bring the Danish talent to the Etihad Stadium in the summer transfer window.

Hjulmand’s Impressive Form In Portuguese Football

Hjulmand has enjoyed a decent run of form at the Portuguese club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 26-year-old has found the back of the net twice and earned six assists in 40 matches for Sporting this season across various competitions.

The Danish talent has proven himself to be a consistent performer in Liga Portugal. Therefore, it is no surprise that Man City are hoping to land him this summer.

His current contract at the Etihad Stadium will run out in the summer of 2028. Thus, the Mancunian giants would find it difficult to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

What Will Hjulmand Add To Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola’s Team?

Hjulmand is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is a good passer as well.

The Danish sensation is an energetic runner with the ball and can shoot it with venom from long range. However, only time will tell whether he can replicate his good form in the Premier League if Man City manage to get a deal over the line for him in the summer transfer window.
