Darling became a folk hero for the Red Storm after hitting a game-winning layup as time expired to beat Kansas in the round of 32.

Darling averaged just under seven points and three assists for the Johnnies in a prime facilitating role.
If Darling were to leave St. John's, it would be to play for the fourth school of his college career. He's also played for Washington State and Idaho State.
