SCRANTON/WILKES BARRE 7, SYRACUSE 0 (BOX)
Baseball is a cruel game, and sometimes it is simply not your night. Syracuse had one of those nights.
Starter Jack Weisenburger gave up seven runs (six earned), with six of those runs coming in the fourth inning. Offensively, the A.J. Ewing-less Syracuse lineup had just three base runners; two singles and a walk. Just was not their day.
BINGHAMTON 5, SOMERSET 4 (BOX)
This back and forth affair started as a 1-1 game after one, with Kevin Parada opening the scoring with an RBI double in the first, and Somerset answering with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the frame. Jose Ramos would break that tie in the third, tattooing a three run home run to left-center, making it 4-1 Rumble Ponies. Somerset would score three in the bottom of the fifth to tie it at four, but a solo home run by Nick Lorusso in the sixth would put Binghamton ahead for good.

ROME 4, BROOKLYN 3 (BOX)
Rome jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one, chasing starter Cristofer Gomez after just two recorded outs. To the Brooklyn bullpen’s credit, they held it down after that. They did not surrender a run for the rest of the game.
Unfortunately, the Cyclones offense could not complete their comeback. Sam Biller drove in a run with a single in the third, and Mitch Voit followed that up with a sacrifice fly to cut the deficit in half. Voit would add a solo home run in the fifth, but the offense petered out after that.

GAME ONE: JUPITER 5, ST. LUCIE 2 / 7 (BOX)
St. Lucie and Jupiter played a seven inning double header due to the inclement weather on the 12th, and it did not go well for the Mets, as they got swept.
Game one was a barrage of home runs, with the two teams combining for four in just seven innings. St. Lucie was on the receiving end of three of them, which is not a recipe for success. The game was tied at one point, when Julio Zayas hit a two run home run in the fourth to tie it at two apiece. Jupiter would bounce back and score three more, taking game one.

GAME TWO: JUPITER 5, ST. LUCIE 4 / 7 (BOX)
Jupiter got across first, scoring in the second. Julio Zayas hit another home run on the day, tying it at one in the fourth. Jupiter took the lead back in the fifth, but JT Benson made sure that did not last long, hitting a game tying triple in the sixth. Randy Guzman would sacrificially fly him home, putting the Mets ahead.
The top of the seventh was a disaster, as they surrendered three runs to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Elian Peña would drive in a run with a ground out in the seventh, but the ninth inning rally fell short.
