There's only one more team that has to make a decision at the managerial position outside of the Houston Astros, and that's the New York Mets. The Philadelphia Phillies cut ties with Rob Thomson, and the Boston Red Sox decided to fire Alex Cora.
Many believe the Mets will be next, and some names are already popping up as potential replacements for Carlos Mendoza.
One of those guys is Carlos Beltran, who was once hired by the Mets but was fired before he ever coached a game due to the Astros' cheating scandal. Fast forward a few years now, and it's believed that his relationship with Steve Cohen could potentially change that.

However, things have changed, and it's not crazy to suggest that he might be the best name on the market for New York to consider when the time comes.
