The New York Mets have had a very rough season so far, and on Wednesday night in a win over the Detroit Tigers, they got something to worry about.
Juan Soto fouled a ball off of his foot, came out of the game, and while imaging didn't reveal anything concerning, it was still an issue for the Mets fanbase to stress about.
But, as Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports, Soto is back in the lineup for the Mets just one day after his injury scare. In the Mets lineup, Soto is batting third as the team's designated hitter.
"Juan Soto is back in the Mets' lineup today, less than a day after exiting early due to a foul ball off his ankle," DiComo reports.
With Soto back in the lineup for the Mets, it appears the worst-case scenario was avoided. He might not be at 100% during Thursday's game, but with Soto being in the lineup, he's healthy enough to start for the Mets.

At 17-25, and currently in the middle of a two-game winning streak, getting Soto back after what could've been another lengthy absence is a sigh of relief for fans.
Soto is hitting .263 this season with four homers and 11 RBIs in 27 games played and 99 at-bats. While his season hasn't been as good as his normal production, he's still posting an .801 OPS and is well above average offensively.
And with Francisco Lindor out, Soto's presence is all the more important for the Mets. While this injury scare could've had him miss a game or two, Soto is right back in the lineup, as that scare was only that, a scare.
