Whatever the decision might be, there's a lot to consider here, which will make this trade deadline one of the more interesting ones in Major League Baseball.
When searching for ways to improve on the offensive side of things, SNY recently proposed the idea of making a trade with the Boston Red Sox. Bringing back Trevor Story would just be the start, as the Mets would also be able to get one of the many outfielders in Boston.

If I were the Mets, I'd probably pass on this deal and try not to take back too much salary at the deadline.
The Mets already have one of the most expensive rosters in Major League Baseball, and it's completely failed on all levels. Adding to that by trading for a guy like Story just wouldn't do anybody much good.
