The 2026 MIAA Spring Power Rankings have been released, determining state tournament qualifications for various sports. Top teams in baseball, softball, lacrosse, tennis, and volleyball will automatically qualify based on these rankings.
The 2026 MIAA Spring Power Rankings have sprung.
State tournament qualification and seeding will be determined by the power rankings. In baseball, softball, lacrosse, tennis and volleyball, the top 32 teams in each division will automatically qualify along with every team outside of it above .500. In rugby, the top 50 percent of the power ranked teams in each division will qualify. A minimum of four girls rugby teams will qualify, while no more than eight teams will be include din each division.
There are a host of No. 1 teams from MetroWest and greater Milford: AMSA softball (Division 4), Lincoln-Sudbury boys lacrosse (Division 1) and boys tennis (Division 1), Natick boys volleyball (Division 1).

The 2026 MIAA Spring Power Rankings include the top 32 teams in baseball and softball that will automatically qualify for state tournaments.
State tournament qualifications are based on power rankings, with teams above .500 also qualifying outside the top 32 in baseball, softball, lacrosse, tennis, and volleyball.
Currently, AMSA softball, Lincoln-Sudbury boys lacrosse, boys tennis, and Natick boys volleyball are ranked No. 1 in their respective divisions.
In rugby, the top 50 percent of power-ranked teams in each division will qualify, with a minimum of four girls rugby teams qualifying.
