The future of LIV Golf and one of its biggest stars Bryson DeChambeau remains up in the air.
Concerns for such futures come after widespread reports that Saudi Arabiaās Public Investment Fund (PIF) will end its financial support of LIV Golf.
And very worryingly, during his time at The Masters, DeChambeau met with organizations to discuss possible options if he were to leave the Saudi-backed tour.
Remarkably, his YouTube success could be used as leverage, with the latest rumour suggesting that DeChambeau is open to only filming content and playing in the four major championships.
Ian Poulter has shut down the DeChambeau exit rumour, with PGA Tour player Michael Kim now sharing his verdict.
Reacting to the idea that DeChambeau would only focus on majors and his YouTube venture, Kim commented on X: āI just have a hard time believing this.
āYou canāt replace real competition reps.
āBreaking 50 with LeBron [James] isnāt the same as going against Scottie [Scheffler] at Hilton Head.
āNice negotiation tactic but winning majors is his main goal and playing on the PGA Tour is the best way to get ready.ā
Kim is a one-time winner on the PGA Tour, while DeChambeau boasts nine career wins, with his most recent arriving at the 2024 US Open.
He also lifted the US Open trophy in 2020, but decided to leave the PGA Tour in 2022 to join LIV Golf, where he currently captains Crushers GC.
