Michigan basketball's 2026-27 Big Ten schedule has been announced, featuring key matchups against rivals Michigan State and Ohio State. The Wolverines will also face nonconference opponents like UConn and Duke.
Michigan basketball has a few games that are cemented in stone for the 2026-27 season, namely nonconference games against UConn, Marquette, Villanova, Duke, and the Player's Era Championship. But we haven't quite known who the Wolverines will be seeing in Big Ten play, in terms of which games are home-and-homes, home only, or road games. But on Tuesday, the Big Ten announced the conference slate for the maize and blue.
As expected, the Wolverines will play road and home against rivals Michigan State and Ohio State, and will also do so against a Minnesota team that got two former Michigan players via the transfer portal (Winters Grady and Malick Kordel). Michigan will play home games against Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Northwestern, Oregon, Purdue, and Washington, and will play road games against Indiana, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers, , , and .
Michigan will play home and away games against Michigan State, Ohio State, and Minnesota, among others.
Michigan's nonconference schedule includes games against UConn, Marquette, Villanova, and Duke.
The Wolverines will host teams like Illinois, Iowa, and Purdue, while playing road games against Indiana, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.

In conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, the University of Michigan men's basketball program unveiled Tuesday (May 12) the home and road matchups for the 2026-27 season.
With 18 teams, the Big Ten schedule features three double-play opponents and single games against the remaining 14 conference schools, creating a 20-game regular-season slate.
Michigan will continue home-and-home series with rivals Michigan State and Ohio State, while adding Minnesota as its third double-play opponent.
U-M flips its road slate from a season ago, welcoming Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Northwestern, Oregon, Purdue and Washington to Ann Arbor. The road schedule is highlighted by a West Coast swing to UCLA and USC, along with trips to Indiana, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers and Wisconsin.
Michigan is coming off a historic 2025-26 season in which the Wolverines finished 37-3, won the Big Ten regular-season title by four games with a 19-1 record, advanced to the Big Ten Tournament championship game and capped a memorable postseason run by capturing the national championship.
