Evie Gallagher has extended her contract with Bristol Bears, continuing her role as a back-row forward. The 25-year-old has excelled this season, scoring seven tries and leading the league in turnovers.
Scotland back-row forward Evie Gallagher has signed a new contract to stay with Premiership Women's Rugby team Bristol Bears.
Gallagher, who can play across the whole back row, joined Bristol from Worcester in 2023 after the Warriors folded and dropped out of the top tier.
The 25-year-old has scored seven tries in 11 games for Bristol so far this season and tops the league's standings for most turnovers with 19.
Head coach Scott Lawson said Gallagher was "one of the best players in the world in her position".
"Her ability to perform across the back row gives us huge flexibility, but what really sets her apart is the impact she has all over the pitch," he added.
"To lead the league for turnovers shows the level of influence she has defensively, but her carrying, physicality and work rate make her a complete player. She drives standards every day and is a massive part of the environment we're building here."
Gallagher has 42 caps for Scotland but she has missed the whole of the current Six Nations campaign due to injury.
Bristol have not disclosed the length of Gallagher's new deal.
