Michigan football has secured four-star quarterback Kamden Lopati for the class of 2027, marking the first top QB prospect of head coach Kyle Whittingham's era. Lopati previously committed to Illinois but has now chosen Michigan after an impressive high school career in Utah.

The Wolverines appear to have done just that this spring, as Wolverines Wire covered the magnitude of the program landing four-star quarterback Kamden Lopati in the class of 2027.
Lopati has lit up the scoreboard during his high school career in Utah, throwing for over 2600 yards and 34 touchdowns last season. He also has the prototypical size for a pocket passer at major D1 football, and perhaps beyond.
Lopati's recruiting timeline has been a bit of a winding road thus far. He initially committed to Illinois last summer before flipping his allegiance to Michigan.
