A Spartans target in the 2027 class is set to visit one of their Big Ten peers.
Matthew Brady of Bloomington, Ill. will take a visit to a Big Ten conference rival this upcoming summer. Brady announced earlier this week that he'll be visiting Minnesota on June 12 -- which is a few weeks after he's scheduled to take an official visit to Michigan State.
Brady is listed at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, and is rated as a three-star prospect with a recruiting rating of 85 on 247Sports. He is ranked as the No. 108 linebacker and No. 41 player from Illinois in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2027 class.
Brady announced earlier this week that he'll be taking an official visit to Michigan State on May 29. The Spartans are one of a few power four schools to show notable interest in his recruitment, with Brady also holding offers from Nebraska, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech and Minnesota. As of right now, it seems like it'll be a battle between the Spartans and Golden Gophers for Brady's commitment, but we will see if anyone else emerges as a favorite later this month.
