MILAN FUTURO'S CAMPAIGN ENDS, CHIEVO IN THE FINAL
A hard-fought match, which brings the curtain down on the season for Coach Oddo's Milan Futuro. It ended 2-1 to Chievo in Verona, at the end of a truly intense 120 minutes. Victory was essential to advance to the play-off Final, and the result hung in the balance until the very last moment, when a penalty from Costantino sealed the win and Chievo's progression to the next round. There were plenty of chances for our boys, who lacked a little precision in front of goal. After D. Costa's opener, the equaliser was scored by Sardo, who had also struck the crossbar earlier in the match.
Among the many positives to take from this match, and from this season as a whole, what stands out above all is the courage and the commitment to always play football, holding their own against more experienced opponents who are more accustomed to the level. With this defeat, the curtain falls on a season in which a great many products of our youth academy made their debut in senior football, always ready to make their mark and make the most of their opportunities. The play-off Final will be between Casatese Merate and Chievo Verona, but a huge round of applause for this Milan Futuro side.

MATCH REPORT
Milan Futuro were the dominant side in the opening minutes, and in the 7th minute came an immediate great chance for Oddo's Rossoneri through Sardo, who from point-blank range struck the crossbar. Our side were the better team throughout, containing Chievo well and threatening again going forward through Magrassi, who failed to find the opener from close range. Two big chances that Chievo escaped, before making their opponents pay at the first opportunity with a precise left-footed strike from Douglas Costa from the edge of the box to make it 1-0. Early in the second half came the Rossoneri equaliser, after a fine save from Torriani from former player Paloschi.
The 1-1 goal was scored by Sardo, converted a fine assist from Ossola. A deserved goal that brought us back into the match. A very evenly contested affair but also one full of stoppages, with Coach Oddo making several substitutions before the 90th minute and sending on 2009-born Menon, who in the 88th minute tried his luck with his left foot. Another great chance for Magrassi, who from an excellent position failed to find the target with a header. In stoppage time, Chievo were reduced to ten men following a straight red card for Turano. The match went to extra time, and a double booking for Menon meant Milan Futuro were also down to ten men, before they capitulated in the 120th minute to a penalty scored by Costantino, with Branca also sent off on the occasion for a last-man foul.
