Williams, the Packersâ standout safety, has quickly carved out a reputation as one of the NFLâs most reliable young defenders. After a standout college career, The Packers selected Williams in the fourth round (111th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft and he wasted little time making an impact. As a rookie, Williams appeared in 13 games, earning increased responsibilities as the season progressed and a spot on the PFWA AllâRookie Team.
The 2026 Milwaukee High School Sports Awards are part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards program.
His ascent continued in 2025, when he became a fullâtime starter and one of the anchors of Green Bayâs defense. Through his first two NFL seasons, Williams has compiled 149 total tackles, four interceptions, eight passes defended, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Known for his discipline in run support and his preparation in the film room, he has gained respect as a âcoach on the fieldâ despite his youth.

Originally from Los Gatos, California, Williams starred at St. Francis High School in Mountain View before beginning a winding collegiate path. He first committed to Fresno State, where he played from 2019 through 2022 and emerged as a defensive leader. His breakout came in 2021, when he recorded 92 tackles and three interceptions, earning FirstâTeam AllâMountain West honors.
After another productive season in 2022, Williams entered the transfer portal and spent his final college year at Oregon. There, his versatility flourished. In 2023, he led the Ducks in tackles (82) while adding 4.5 sacks and earned SecondâTeam AllâPacâ12 recognition.
