The 49ers used Jennings as a weapon as a blocker. While he’s not quite at the level of a tight end, he’s arguably the best blocker at wide receiver in the NFL. When the Vikings get into 11 personnel, it’s going to be a massive win for head coach Kevin O’Connell in terms of versatility.

With the addition of Jennings, he will likely have a salary cap hit of around $8 million, but that could vary depending on contract structure. Overall, it’s a fascinating signing for the Vikings, as playing the waiting game paid off.
