• The NFL Draft went almost as well as possible for the Huskies. Although Denzel Boston slipped from the first round into the second, the fact that the Dawgs had seven players drafted made the weekend a big exposure victory for the Huskies. Christian Caple gives more details and his analysis of how the draft went down.

• After a tumultuous offseason (to say the least), Demond Williams is back under center for the Dawgs. Williams will switch jersey numbers from #2 to #1, but the numerical change may be one of the smallest differences from last season to this one. The Seattle Times goes deeper on UW’s QB situation.

• Another change in the UW QB room is new position coach JP Losman. While Losman was with the team last year, he is now an official position coach for the Dawgs. The former NFL QB told reporters that he is having the time of his life in his new role.

• The UW Softball team was swept for the second weekend in a row. After last week’s losses to Oregon on the road, the Huskies dropped three in a row to #7 UCLA.
